Experimental Studies on the Anti-Hyperlipidemic Effects of Mori Ramulus, Mori Folium, Mori Cortex and Mori Fructus

Abstract
In order to investigate the effect of Mori Ramulus, Mori Foliu, Mori Cortex and Mori Fructus on hyperlipidemia induced by cholesterol in rats, the levels of total cholesterol, triacylglycerol and HDL cholesterol in the serum were measured.
@ES The results were as follows:
@EN 1) The levels of serum total cholesterol and triacylglycerol were significantly decreased in combination group with Mori Ramulus, Mori Folium, Mori Cortex and Mori Fructus comparing to control group, but did not show the difference between
each
experimental group.
2) The levels of HDL-cholesterol were significantly increased in combination group with Mori Ramulus, Mori Follum, Mori Cortex and Mori Fructus comparing to control group, but did not show the significance in Mori Ramulus combination group.
3) The levels of serum total cholesterol were significantly decreased in Mori Ramulus. Mori Folium, Mori Cortex and Mori Fructus group, the levels of serum triacylglycerol were signicicantly decreased in Mori Ramulus, Mori Folium and Mori Cortex
group,
but did not show the significance in Mori Fructus group.
4) The levels of serum total cholesterol were significantly decreased in Mori Folium, Mori Cortex and Mori Fructus group comparing to control group, but did not show the significance in Mori Ramulus group.
According to the above results, Mori Ramulus, Mori Folium, Mori Cortex and Mori Fructus had the effects on antihyperlipidemia, the effect of them recorded in literaturer are almost same as that of prescription obtained by experiment. There it is
considered that they are applicable to the prevention and treatment of hyperlipidemia and atherosclerosis.
